Can a bull eyes D – poem

Mary Mary quite contrary

is this how it goes?

Black sheep black sheep have you any wool?

your patent shoes and magic dreams

Humpty Dumpty had a great fall

if only you’d known

illustrations sweet lie dead at your feet

Ring around the rosy pocket full of posy

warns me of disease

and once you fall

all parts

never the same to be

pretty illustrations lied to me

spoke of the dead and horrors I’d see

the cherub face and rosy cheeks

hid my demise with glee

soon when you grow all that glow

will the ravens victim be

as a child I’ll laugh

look it just see

I have no idea how black it will be.
